In Barbados, half the time I see that people want hand outs especially from Government. You should stop belly aching, get off your asses and work and be proud to say F_ _ _ the Government. As for the NCF, well with leaders like the last one, what would you expect. You guys need to do some work and stop complaining about NCF, NCC, BBC YFLS (your fat lazy self) PS I know this will never be published, Voice Boyce or what ever it is needs to protect its image and continue to set the cat among pigeons. They supposed to be the vanguard of culture, promoting it, nurturing it etc. The constituents of culture seeming getting raw deals all the time....I think in Barbados we have tunnel vison through our narrow-minedness and our lack of vision where our so called intellectuals either think they know it all or doubt themselves. In the world today, particiative managemnet is the way forward and getting the views of the people that you supposedly represent is important. The NCF must foster better links with the calypsonians/entertainers and see after all stakeholder interests...it is called the balanced scorecar approach. As for Party Monarch.....that is another story and frankly...what is the big deal about not sharing information vis a vis rules of competions etc....utter nonsense if you ask me. I repsect what the NCF is supposed to do but they need to get it right....every year we must not have this tug-o-war between them and calypsonians/entertainers. On the other side though, the calypsonians and entertainers neeed to get their act together too and present a united front in the face of common goals and interest.
