The NCF is a Liar!
The National Cultural Foundation (NCF) is a liar and a nasty one too and I speak with impunity on this matter. Have you heard all of the “controversy” which has been circulating over artistes preventing CBC television from carrying pay per view coverage? I have heard people cursing my ass about this on VOB’s Brass Tacks radio call-in program which is most amazing as it is not a matter I hold any hard and fast position on.
I saw the NCF press release which was sent to the media on the issue and it was there that I saw the lie with was contained in their document. The lie jumped out and hit me in my face like a ton a bricks, who ever wrote it was obviously a good sized man.
The NCF release stated that even though the artistes were offered money that they refused to accede to broad casting requests. Now that is the Lie Right there! I attended all the meetings with government representing the artistes and at no time was any money offered for any broadcasting for us to turn down! That would not happen you know why? We like money Badd! If any reasonable money offer is made for any thing we would sell and sell like MADD.
If I am at a meeting and some one says to me they like my smile I would take it to ass off and sell it if the right price is right! But let us not digress from the liar point here. The NCF sent out that release and deliberately made that false statement that we turned down money to give the impression that we artistes were being down right difficult unreasonable and nasty and that we so want to cause trouble that they offered us money and we refused it.
That is not so! The utterance of this false statement in said press release gives me license to say they are liars. Let us look for the dictionary definition of a liar shall we? According to the dictionary a liar is – someone who lies – who in this case would be the NCF.
So in closing let me reiterate Ncf is telling lies on the Industry when they say money was offered to us and we turned it down. And if NCF feel they want to send a legal letter to me because I called them a liar, bring it on! Here’s a tip for the future if you do not want me to call you a liar, then do not lie! Is that so f***king* hard?
P.S I sat in an emergency meeting yesterday at parliament chaired by Minister of State, Atherley where COSCAP agreed that there would be pay-per-views and live broadcast of Crop Over events. Let’s move on shall we….

All i have to say is if the GOVERNMENT contiunes to expect the NCF to operate like a business & turn a profit, the one who will pay will be culture. And a heavy price it will be. Instead of paying huge salaries to a bunch of nuisances called MPs to do not one ass for 5 years, or to the biggest Clown I’ve ever seen (Ian De Clown), some of that wasted money can be put towards developing culture & honing the skills & talents of our entertainers & artist WITHOUT looking for an immediate monetary return, providing the money goes where it’s supposed to go & not in somebody thiefing pocket. Ya know how it is bout here.
