Move Bitch! the Peter Ram Angle
Earlier I blogged about Sherwin Winchester coming down here to our National Calypso Party Monarch competition and cursing and disrespecting our Bajan women by calling them bitches and telling them move. Speaking of beautiful women reminds me of something. Remember Peter Ram sings a song complimenting women entitled Woman By My Side?
Well While in the process of singing that song praising women remember how much trouble Peter Ram go into in St Vincent at their National Calypso event there a few weeks ago? Peter Ram had let go some words cursing gays and was in bare trouble then.
They told him that unless he apologized he would be arrested and put in a Vincentian jail.
Now Sherwin Winchester came down here to Barbados and at a National calypso event curse the same way Peter Ram did in St Vincent. But he called our women bitches and that seems to have been accepted without furor. What is the message here? You can’t curse gays but you can curse women? I think we need to establish some CSME* cursing rules so we would know where we stand.

It’s simple really….. DE POLICE BOUT HERE DON’T GIVE A RATS ASS! Now if it was the original artist (Luda) here singing that song word for word, he too would be hauled off the stage in a hurry. But Sherwin was probabily protected under some NCF diplomatic rule. MOOOOOHAHAHAHAHAHA

Barbadians are more liberal than Vincentians! Vincies are too up tight and have too much respect for human beings and their choices. So the trini man call the bajan woman a bitch, big deal?? I don’t hear anyone trying to correct him!
