George Bush;President and Entertainer,”Childrens do learn”

Boyce Voice is designated pretty much to deal with things that are entertainment based; I leave the heavy political stuff to my blog friends Barbados Underground and Bajan Reporter. But when a president of a United States stands up looks in a camera and utters the statement “childrens do learn”, I feel that has crossed over from political into entertainment which puts it in my domain.
This statement was made by President Bush when he was speaking to some school kids at an elementary school recently.
As you would know this kind of “green” language is not new to the president in fact there is now a form of language popularized by him known as “bushism”.
Here are some more “bushisms” that president bush “are” famous for…
• Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?
• I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
• Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.
• Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir. I talk to families who die.
• You’re working hard to put food on your family.
• Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream.
• This is still a dangerous world. It’s a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mential losses.
• There’s an old saying in Tennessee—I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says: fool me once, shame on … (long pause) shame on you? (long pause) Fool me – you can’t get fooled again.
• You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.

I think The President of the United States needs to take a leaf out of our Prime Minister Owen Arthur’s Book when it comes to English. When it comes to use of eloquent language you cannot beat Owen. Even when he curses you he makes it sound good, and he turns it into a literary masterpiece, like when he called Harold Hoyte a “negrocrat”. People started researching the origins of the word and it was discussed thoroughly in the media. Then he called that other reporter an “indentured servant” more discussion started up with that.(He seems to have something for the Press).
Bush admits he was not so hot on studying in school buts that no excuse, he could join a toastmasters club that would improve his vocabulary and presentation skills. One thing you can say about President Bush is he is not lacking in entertainment skills. In between orchestrating the war against terrorism which is resulting in the deaths of thousands of Iranians and Americans, he still gives us a light hearted moment in between the funerals.
When he gives up being President he could probably go to Hollywood and get into the movie business. I could see my self going to see the comedy “Dumb and Dumber 3” starring Jim Carrey and George Bush. Any ways so I would not get my American Visa cancelled when the embassy sees this I would like to emphatically state…
“Don’t minded them Bush, You is a good President!”
(Spoken in Bush lingo so he would understand)
If during the reading of this blog there is any thing I might have written which might have incensed or offended you, GET OVER IT! There are many things I read and hear in the media on a daily basis that I don't like either. SO DEAL WITH IT! You are welcome to leave your comments though. Make sure and come back yuh hear !!!...
