Congratulations to the teacher of the year Mr. Lett English Literature teacher from Alexandra School. Mr Lett as he is respectfully called by my two sons who both go to that school, recently won the CLICO/Nation Barbados teacher of the year at an event held at the prestigious Frank Collymore Hall.

Why Boyce Voice is mentioning this outside entertainment achievement is that the same Mr. Lett is also Leslie Lett previously keyboardist from the group Krosfyah.

I would like to think that Lett’s background in entertainment would have played some part in him being such an effective teacher. I would also think that his knowing me also had something to do with his winning and I would like him to remember that when he is deciding how to spend the $10,000.00 that came with the award. I am going to have to start listening to my son Ramon, he has been telling me for years that Mr. Lett is one of the best teachers at Alexandra School and he was right. Maybe he can tell me who will be running Crop Over next year as the government does not seem to know….
