We should be proud and thankful to Ingrid for making the effort to travel down to the Los Angeles United States to show support for Rihanna in the 2008 Grammy Awards show.
Ingrid had called me and told me she was going down and I was wondering how she would have fared.
As far as I know Grammys is an invitation only thing even if she got down there how would she get in?
I had visions of Ingrid being thrown unceremoniously on her butt through the venue door.
Ingrid however, being the 100 lbs of resourceful person she is, was able to overcome all obstacles financial and other wise to witness history (like P’Oui said) when our Barbadian girl Rihanna received her award.
Ingrid’s entire trip was being video taped by camerman Alwyn to produce a documentary to hopefully show on our CBC television, I look forward to seeing it. (If you know somebody on CBC board you should put in a word for this production)

I asked Ingrid why did she make the effort and she said “I think it is imperative that some sort of Bajan presence be here (Los Angeles) to show support for Rihanna at such a significant time in her career”.
Boyce Voice and all Bajans owe a debt of gratitude to Ingrid for making the effort to represent us and support Rihanna.
Kudos to Super Ingrid!!

If during the reading of this blog there is any thing I might have written which might have incensed or offended you, GET OVER IT! I have used all means available to me to get some info on to Rihanna in vain and I now envy Ingrid who was able to get right up in her face. Imagine, her dad worked right next door to me for years, I even gave him a ride to work on occasion, now just a few years afterwards, I can’t see him to share some kind words. Thanks to Super Ingrid for at least bringing the behind the scenes to me.

Don’t understand how with modern camcorders
Our media houses weren’t at the Grammy Awards
Super Ingrid swooped in and to our rescue
Taped Rihanna backstage at here Grammy debut
Organized to send some stills right back
So that Boyce Voice would keep Bajans on track
Usually media houses on the island would want to boast
Pride of Barbados which binds our hearts from coast to coast
Every reporter from local newspaper, radio station and TV
Recording and flashing with the international paparazzi
Ingrid took us backstage, she was there
None other but our super gal got photos to share
Got some with Rihanna posing with her dad
Ronald was with his daughter, the Good Girl Gone Bad
I’m glad Super Ingrid recorded Super Rihanna for all to see
Don’t know how she was able though to trump our local TV
