Comments on Rihanna; The Good the Bad and the Bajan
I have been checking some of the comments on Rihanna’s Grammy performance which were made on some of the international Internet sites. Some of them contain some very negative and disparaging remarks on our Rihanna.
I had heard about nasty comments made about Rihanna on the net, and expressed surprise as ALL of the comments on Boyce Voice were complimentary and supportive. Even Ian Bourne’s comment was not really negative and he was cussed out by Skyblu anyway.
So I hope Rihanna takes note of the contrasting comments between Bajan Boyce Voice and the other international sites. I have heard Rihanna say she does not get the enough support from Barbadians. When you look at the contrasting comments on Boyce Voice and some of the other sites it tells a different story. Bajans are definitely behind Rihanna 100%. Also we must mention the many poetic tributes to Rihanna written by Khadji which you can find on Boyce Voice and his poet corner site.
There is word circulating of Rihanna performing in a planned celebration show that is to happen in Barbados on Thursday. Boyce Voice will update you on details later.
If during the reading of this blog there is any thing I might have written which might have incensed or offended you, GET OVER IT! There are many things I read and hear in the media on a daily basis that I don't like either. SO DEAL WITH IT! You are welcome to leave your comments though. Make sure and come back yuh hear !!!...

There is seldom a comment on the post I make because I write in poetry. This has been true for all my comments, every where. I am grateful to Boyce Voice for the recent mention and to Barbados Free Press and Barbados Underground for including me in their blogrolls. Thanks Peter for you consistent commenting. Peter is right, I did write a whole lot about Rihanna, I recently gave her a separate category. But still, I feel like we can do so much more.

UNLIKE MANY ENTERTAINERS I dOAN GO BEGGIN NOONOE TO PERFORM…iVE been around 25 years and in a country where there are very very few promoters and no entertainment industry one doesn’t worry about the skepticism of the “so called powers”. You could go and beg and worry about them…I certainly wouldn’t!
I actually had rehearsed MY RIHANNA TRIBUTE show…but with all those other tributes i decided to be the ENTERTAINER FOR THE NIGHT AND went with a topical fun song.
AS FOR YOUR ASSINE COMMENT about the cultural ambassasdor and his retaliation isn’t that what calypso is all about? Calypso is no Sunday School thing and if he retaliates…so what? IS IT NOT THE TRUTH? LAST TIME IN 2003 (IF YOU CHECK YOUR HISTORY) i never asked for no apology …the public did…I WAS READY FOR WAR. AS for winning…since when does winning define a calypsonian? ANOTHER STUPID COMMENT WAS MADE about what will i sing for CropOVER if I ALREADY sing the PIGTAIL SONG…is the guy a poppet or what?…ARE you supposed to wait for CropOVER to sing on a topic? You don’t feel peeps have more than one idea?
This guy want you to be frighten for certain calypsonians to retaliate, to worry about promoters not giving you any opportunity(as if it really matters), to beg them when they don’t…to sing meaningful and patriotic songs all the time…to don’t sing songs when are still being investigated (which means I couldn’t sing about Winston Hall). HE REAALY WANT A CALYPSONIAN /DUB ARTISTE LIKE ME TO A BABY.
