		<description>The calypsonian is one of the most powerful individuals in our society and regrettably, they are not treated like this.  They bring lots of the social problems to the fore and open debate on issues that would otherwise go unnoticed. All ages get to hear their messages far more than would read the papers, listen to the radio or even watch TV. Any mechanism that doesn’t see it fit to award the calypsonians for the role they played is disruptive to societal growth.

Tons of calypsonians were crying out for this
Estwick being terminated is a calypsonian’s bliss
Reactions are the same wherever you go
Many are happy that Estwick no longer runs the show
I for one questioned our country’s progress
Noticed its cultural confusion and chaotic mess
And wondered what our culture has grown to be
The emphasis on wukkin up and a big street party
Early calypsos address social molding
Days of Estwick’s anarchy are gone, better days are coming
