The Jailing of Wesley Snipes vs The killing of Sean Bell
Wesley Snipes sentenced to three years in Jail…?Who would have imagined that a movie star of the stature of Snipes would have been imprisoned for non payment of taxes as happened last week in the United States. Letters and pleas made on his behalf from his high profile friends fell on deaf ears as the judge made an “example” of “Blade” that would be an effective deterrent to any star thinking of doing the same.Do you think Wesley Snipes being jailed is one of those things that would only happen to a black star? If it were Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt do you envision they might have been served the same penalty?
Lets look at this from the context of the “not guilty” verdict recently handed down to the police officers guilty of firing over 50 shots and killing an unarmed black man Sean Bell on the day of his wedding. If Sean was white, do you feel that the officers would have been found not guilty?
It is an interesting scenario where the same court system that can send Wesley Snipes to jail for 3 years for not paying taxes, can set Police officers totally free with no penalties what so ever for admittedly killing an unarmed man.
I guess there was no “example” which needed to be made there….

your making very biased opimions on two different cases. One is murder the other is taxes.yes I’ll admit the cops should have been jailed,however drawning reffence to snipes is unessesary…..just address the shooting peter, not snipes tax evasion.
