Greasy Bakes??! Greasy Bakes??!
I could not believe my eyes when I read jdid’s
comment yesterday.
First of all let me say I had always intended to use Usain Bolt’s love of Yams to lead into an endorsement promo blog for bakes, I could not believe when Jdid preempted me not just by mentioning bakes but mentioning them negatively It is because of people like Jdid that Bajans can’t get no way! Jdid if you are reading this log off now… In fact anybody who does not like bakes should log off Boyce Voice and don’t come back! Anti Bake attitudes will not be tolerated!
They are people out there professing to be Bajans masquerading as Bajans but are really Bajan wanna be’s.
People who though born in Barbados show extreme anti Bajan tendencies. That is why we now have a national event like Cohbbblopot that now featuring American rappers.
because of people who lack cultural culinary loyalty.
Tomorrow I will continue with the second part of my Bake discourse that was so rudely interrupted by the bagel and ham n eggs eaters among us…

I am sure that bakes have kept many a bajan family from starving. They are relatively cheap and easy to make. I love them but I have not had them in years as I live in Canada and my wife is a Jamaican so the closest I get to bakes is something they call “festival” or another thing called “johnny cakes”. I ain’t no Johnny! ha ha
Unfortunately nowadays bajans look down on bakes as low class food. Boyce I guess you ain’t got no class then - ha ha ha LOL

bajans can’t get nuh way is right. My man Jdid point out dat bakes aint nuh health food and you jump down he skin. Couple weeks back that pompasetting bajan one HOAD telling people bout if cow williams grandaughter an dem so could eat chicken feed that the average bajan need tuh do de same. Stuuuuupppssseeee… Foolishness can’t be sense.
Bakes taste good man but when dem greasy so dem wud kill yuh. Tell de truth Boyce!

In fact lemma tell ya then, the man summuch into the bakes an is such an expert that Liar the Lion told me that all the man duz gotta do is see a Bake and he could tell ya not only who mek it but wha kinda oil um fry in, how long it was fried for an wha model frying pan was used.

Bounty paper towels is de secret to non greasy bakes i live in tampa and i had some corn meal bakes just last wk wid de last ah de mauby syrup…….ps if yah comin dis way me need some mauby syrup
