thanks for the movie info airbourne, the thing about chris rock in head os state is its comedic perspective did not take the subject of a blackman being president seriously,
i did see the fifth element but i dont remember the character, that was with bruce willis right? dont think the subject matter was there was a black president, the thing about the man was that was the main theme, a serious look on what might happen if a black man were president of the united states

thanks for commenting every body

Some men are the pioneers for others to follow and sometimes these men make the way easier for those behind them. Well this gentleman’s attitude made it so easy for me to see others in his footsteps and I watched how he was able, not only to command Whites but to receive their full cooperation. I think he made the possibility of Blacks attaining higher office, a greater possibility

The First Black President
Their politics never really interest me
Had no appeal till I saw him on TV
Every night he was on I was stuck like glue
First Black President was like an amazing guru
I saw him firm yet calm and pleasing to the eye
Risky and calculative, an intriguing guy
Showed knowledge that surprised many a man
This President gives his all when ever he can
Black men never before had this distinction
Laughable when thought of, even an abomination
All the Whites before, believed we could never lead
Couldn’t rise to the top or get the votes we would need
Kept us down by convincing us this was true
President, ha ha! They laugh then we would too
Regardless to our intellect we never thought that we’d
Ever become President so we never sowed that seed
So when I saw him standing there erect
In the spotlight, the White House and the No.1 Jet
Dreams were made possible, I could now picture
Easier roads to the Presidency in my brother’s future
Now Whites see the validity and were inspired by Jack
“The Man,” President David Palmer in 24 was the pioneer Black

This is a tremendous day for black people all over the world. This victory is for Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, Medgar Evers, and countless unknown civil rights activists who died for the cause. It was only a little over 40 years ago that blacks were being killed for trying to vote.

It was also amazing to see the entire world celebrating the end of the Bush era. I never though I'd live to see the day the USA had a black president. God's name be praised!

jdid, if future elections play dirty i guess those politicians haven't learned anything from Obama's campaign

peter, somehow i am not surprised of the outcome being that i was following this very closely ever since the campaign trail started, but what i never expected was the landslide victory in electoral votes

obama the man. despite all the dirty politics, the claims he's a comunist and a socialist and in bed with terrorists and a muslim and the anti-christ he still won.

Regarding "the MAN" its a 1972 movie with James Earl Jones

lol @ michael good question though...we'll have to wait and see..anyways I personally am proud of Obama's achievement as i'm sure are the many black people of the world. But I also was interested last night the point political analyst Peter Wickham raised..it was some where along the lines of black people(in america) no long can come with the age old cry of being oppressed as Obama has pretty much erased that factor. So I wonder what we going to cry about now? That's over and although noone wants to really say its a race thing it still feels good as a people to know that a black person is going to run on of the most powerful( if not the most) nations in the world. CONGRATS TO OBAMA!

(honestly i still believe if it wasn't Obama against McCain he still wouldn't have won..look like he did gin cry...)
