I am a bajan by residency and I can’t understand why the locals aren’t given the opportuinty to preform, they were the ones that made cropover what it is today. I know Lil Rick when he started off just as selling discs in the bus stand and work his way up to be a name people like to hear preforming and now they are denied that voice that gets everyone on their feet.
It’s a shame that this is what cropover has come to. Hope they sort this out soon before they kill the spirit of cropover.

I am new here and I can’t believe what wanna writing here. If this is true and I highly doubt that you would tell a bold-faced lie like this, it is too incredible for words except to say “what the hell the NCF think? Bajans artists are amongst the best in the world so if others are paid then Bajans have to get paid too. You think that maybe this is some kind of oversight? Did anyone protest this situation to higher authorities?

Could that be because, A nay-nay consultant who puts on a couple shows a year, and set up a business that the NCF is the only client, and de same nay-nay consultant dat got trini connections, and dat does tell de trini artistes not to perform at other shows here, but de ones he put on, now works with the NCF to make all types of policy decisions wid de blessings of de man dat put he in place? Could it be. When de BLP people did doing de same thing, at least dem was meking sure dat Bajans did getting de kick backs., Now de DLP disappoint me, cause dem doing de same shite, but now de Bajans aint even getting nutten outa um. All types of Trinis profitting greatly from de same kinda politics of inclusion. I say. soon from now bout here gine get really messed up. Time for a Change… Dat is wuh dum say but we see what kinda change, only small change. De more things change de more dey remain de same. So Bajan Artistes look out. so long as dat nay nay nobody consultant get de go ahead to “rain” (pun intended), wunna ass gine be grass till he get move. But time longer dan twine and de longest night gotta end, so let he enjoy he 3 remaining years. He gine soon be like de rest dat dat was scratching dem head when de last change came about.

Artistes rule.. Get up and do something to change things bout hey yuh. Kick bout de yardfowls and tek way dem eggs, cause dem is a bunch of setting hens dat sitting down waiting to see how much dem could get in a short span. Dem don’t know dat easy come easy go.

Peter the calvacades this year are the worst they have ever had…after cutting them to six they now left out some of the better artiste that ppl generally go to hear I hope you hold a show and bring all de bashment artiste that we de ppl like to hear .
