Tribute to Rihanna; She Looks like “Food”

rihanna-good-pic-blog.jpg

I came across this picture of the Rihanna, winner of the Barbados Music Awards Female Entertainer of the year,I was quite taken then…

I had to get up from the computer and walk a bit to calm myself. This woman look so good then, now here’s a woman who looks like food!
I am sure the men out there would be quite taken by this picture and some women too

Just look at Rihanna lying in that bed with those legs and lips, looking all sensuous… wouldn’t you like to get under her umbrella…? ………I have just been advised by Darron that this is not that kind of a blog…so I must stop

I was a bit miffed that Rihanna did not make it to the Barbados Music Awards this year, I considered going into one of the bathrooms and hanging myself but I had people to take home, plus I would have missed Krosfyah’s performance.
The below Madd track I want to dedicate to the beautiful Rihanna, its like Eric Lewis is singing about her in this song.
Girl you look so sweet
you gimmie cold bumps from my head to my feet

Click and take a listen to the song “FOOD” and see what I mean

Just take note there’s a difference between eating and “biting” ….

Ayana John; Guns and Roses Music Video

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video
Here is talented singer and great person Ayana John with her music video “Guns & Roses”. Ayana is a performer who is going places, I saw her at Starcom Network just last week (that’s one of the places she went) and heard her on 98.1 fm with Teshia week before. The vivacious Ayana was very interactive in her involvement in the making of this music video just as she is with all aspects of her career.

I had the pleasure of working with Ayana with our “YouthmaniA” event in June and with the confidence and enthusiasm that she has nothing can stop her from making it…

Here is the music video to one of her songs that is getting quite a bit of rotation of recent times “Guns & Roses”. Click above and check it out…

Maddy Maddy School Patrol; Madd 1992

carol-pc-broomes.JPG

Here’s a flash back to 1992 with Madd’s Maddy Maddy School Patrol featuring P.C Broomes and Carolann Scantlebury as Glamour Girl Sue.
Written of course by Eric Lewis, this song was controversial and socially potent at the same time.

You see the picture above?
That was the actual newspaper photo that started one of Madd’s biggest controversies.
The Barbados Police was not amused at the portrayal of Police character Broomes being menaced by pep bottle brandishing school girl Sue, so they took steps to enforce a law from their perspective which resulted in P.C Broomes having to perform this song pants less.

The end result was that P.C Broomes did get to put his pants back on; I will give you the full story behind that real soon.
Frankly I feel there was a pervert in the Police Force who probably got a kick of Broomes performing in his boxers and set out to make his dreams come true.
The song is everlastingly potent because the lyrics address issues such as School truancy, Escaped prisoners, Police Brutality and Aids. Topics which are still relevant up until today.
How can one song by a bunch of supposed “madd” people address so many topics? click and listen.
The music that you hear by the way was arranged by ace producer Nicholas Brancker. RUE RUE!

David Kirton Green Camouflage Video

We featured this song before, now it’s the music video to the song, local reggae artiste David Kirton with “Green Camouflage”. This reminds me up to this weekend I read in the newspaper of a guy charged in the law courts for wearing camouflage clothing, it is deemed to illegal here in Barbados.

I think that is so unfair then, some years ago some people committed crimes wearing camouflage, so authorities banned it. Of course that did not stop crime from spiraling on an upward trend since then, but the colour remains banned!
As you should know camouflage is my favorite colour and I know they are others out there who like it badd too.
Camouflage lovers it is time we take a stand! This Saturday lets us don every piece of Camouflage clothing we can find and march through our capital Bridgetown singing David Kirton’s “Green Camouflage” song.
Of course I probably will not be there and if you get arrested and your ass thrown in jail, don’t call my name!
But I will stand in solidarity with you in camouflage spirit!
In the mean time let us check out David’s video in preparation for Saturday entitled “Green Camouflage”

Warning! This video contains Graphic Camouflage footage, Call the Police!

Last Saturday Night – Classic Song By Madd

eric-revised-3.jpg

Here is one of the hardest songs that Madd has ever done! Written by Eric Lewis, the perennial musical master piece known as Last Saturday Night. This song is as relevant now as when it was released back in 1998. It uses vivid word imagery to tell the story of a “bad boy” and how he ultimately came to an untimely end because of his life style.

Eric uses slang to capture the imagination and the interest of the listener, then when he has you, he shoots you, drops you in a coffin and buries you! I recommend this song to any one who needs to change their evil ways, including NCF!
